The U.S. and Canada have reached a last-minute agreement to delay planned 50% tariffs on certain Canadian exports for three days, giving both sides additional time to continue negotiations. The tariffs had been scheduled to take effect today, August 19, and could affect approximately $20 billion in Canadian exports. For businesses moving goods across the U.S.-Canada border, the pause provides some breathing room, but uncertainty remains. Tariff changes can quickly impact sourcing decisions, landed costs, customs planning, and overall supply chain strategy. Our team is monitoring the situation and will share updates as they are released. To stay informed on the latest developments related to these tariff changes and broader global trade updates, visit the advisory section on our website and subscribe for customer communications. #Tariffs #Canada #UnitedStates
