Bridge Collapse in Baltimore

On 26 March 2024, a large vessel collided with the Francis Scott Key Bridge at the Port of Baltimore, causing its collapse and suspending vessel traffic into and out of the port.

We wish to extend our deepest sympathy to everyone impacted by the tragic Francis Scott Key bridge collapse in Baltimore. Our hearts are with the families and friends whose loved ones are still missing, and the entire Baltimore community.

Vessel traffic into and out of the Port of Baltimore is suspended until further notice. During this time, we will guide our customers through the disruption with care and exceptional support.

Our team is working to ensure timely and transparent communication for customers, and we encourage you to contact your dedicated OIA representative for anything urgent.

We acknowledge the importance of your shipments and are dedicated to supporting you during this challenging period. We are actively communicating with customers and addressing impacted shipments. Our commitment remains strong in assisting customers through this disruption. For further details, please contact your respective handling branch or representative.

Please note the following important information.

  • If containers have already been delivered to the Port of Baltimore, we can reroute them to Norfolk or New York.
  • If containers have not yet been delivered to Baltimore, we can redirect them to Norfolk or New York.
  • If containers are currently en route to Baltimore aboard vessels, we can opt to have them discharged in Norfolk or New York if those options are available.
  • If containers have not yet been loaded at the port of origin, we can rebook them to Norfolk or New York.
