OIA Global and EndoChoice, Inc., an innovative manufacturer of endoscopic imaging systems, devices, and infection control products, have launched a new logistics program to simplify product packaging, reduce shipping costs and build sustainability.

EndoChoice has over 2,500 customers, including hospitals and clinics, that require quick delivery windows and are known for their high standards for product integrity. “Our core mission is to serve the Gastrointestinal Caregiver with the design and manufacture of life-saving medical equipment, and our supply chain is a critical component of our value proposition,” stated John T. Arant, Senior Director, Global Supply Chain at EndoChoice.

Heidi Bassano, Global Account Manager, Healthcare at OIA Global, pointed out, “by re-engineering and optimizing EndoChoice’s outbound packaging, we have enabled them to reduce transportation costs by over 20%.”

Arant also noted the success this program has had in reducing the carbon footprint at EndoChoice, as they have decreased the amount of dunnage and packaging materials needed to ship their products while improving packaging integrity. “Sustainability is an important initiative for our company, and while we are pleased with the supply chain efficiencies achieved by OIA, we are also thrilled to see the impact it has had on helping us be better stewards of the environment.”
