Junki Yoshida - Chairman, Yoshida Group
Junki Yoshida came to America in 1968, at the age of 19. Since the formation of his first company in 1982, Yoshida Food Products, his momentum and enthusiasm have never slowed. In 1988, Mr. Yoshida founded Oregon International Airfreight (OIA) in conjunction with Steve Akre to ship perishable foods internationally. He now is the Chairman/CEO of the Yoshida Group, which is comprised of 18 companies, primarily in the food, apparel, sporting-good and logistics industries, but remains best known as the man behind the best-selling Yoshida's Original Gourmet Sauce. In 2003, the Yoshida Group's success and growth were recognized by the SBA when it was inducted into the SBA's 50th anniversary Hall of Fame.

The entire Yoshida Group currently employs over 200 people worldwide and has combined projected revenue of more than $200 million (2004). Mr. Yoshida is a Port of Portland commissioner, sits on the Governor's Council, is a staunch supporter of local charities. He continues to travel the globe as an internationally acclaimed motivational speaker, entertaining and inspiring others who are in search of the "American Dream."

Steve Akre - Chairman

Steve Akre co-founded Oregon International Airfreight (OIA) in 1988 with Mr. Junki Yoshida, and served as the company president until his promotion to Chairman in 2004. Under Mr. Akre's leadership, OIA Global Logistics has implemented numerous international and global logistics programs including a fully automated Portland-based RF distribution warehouse, a global raw material supply chain linking material suppliers and factories across eight countries and a dedicated international procurement program. Additionally, Mr. Akre was instrumental in securing regular and routine cargo flights from both Korean Air and China Air to Portland International Airport and the U.S. West Coast. Mr. Akre served on the Governor's Oregon Business Planning steering committed and attended Portland State University.

Matt Guthrie - President, OIA & Yoshida Group

Matt Guthrie comes to OIA Global Logistics as the president of the Yoshida Group where he oversees its 18 companies including OIA. He brings a wealth of knowledge to OIA with over 9 years of experience as Yoshida’s president. Mr. Guthrie came to the Yoshida Group in 1995 after 17 years at Electro Scientific Industries. He was promoted from accounting manager to analyst, to controller before becoming ESI’s Director of European Finance. Mr. Guthrie’s financial and operational experiences with ESI contributed to the Yoshida Groups success since his time as president. He holds a BA in Business and Economics from Pacific University.

Eric Okimoto - Vice President Operations

Eric Okimoto has 18 years of freight forwarding and supply chain experience and is currently OIA's Vice President of Operations. Mr. Okimoto was instrumental in cultivating OIA's strong international business relationships and implementing the company's global network of agents and partners. He was a driving force behind OIA's recent international acquisitions and global expansion. Mr. Okimoto graduated from the University of Hawaii with a degree in Political Science. He spent 6 years with the Fritz Companies, which was later acquired by UPS, and 10 years with DHL Airways. He is a licensed customs broker and the licensee for OIA's Los Angeles Branch operations. Mr. Okimoto has extensive knowledge of business in Asia and travels frequently to all major locations.

J.H. Lee - Vice President Global Strategic Programs

Mr. Lee joined OIA in 2003 from Korean Airlines after almost 30 years contribution in cargo marketing, sales and administration in the KAL head office, regional head quarters and various sales offices. He has extensive knowledge of global business and is considered a pan-Asia logistics market expert. Countless times during his career at KAL, Mr. Lee visited and surveyed most Asian countries for airline business opportunities. He also founded KAL's current strong freight services in asia and established IATA-CASS/KOREA where he twice served as chairman. He retired from KAL as the director and general manager for global sales and administration team in the head office. Mr. Lee holds Master of Law from Kyungpook National University in Korea.

Craig Orput - Vice President Logistics Engineering

Mr. Orput's background includes 24 years at UPS holding positions in Operations, Solutions Engineering, Project Implementation, Business Development and Program Management for both domestic and international clients. Mr. Orput has a degree in Information Systems Management from the University of San Francisco. Previous experience includes designing a global distribution network for a $2.3B semiconductor company, running global implementation and program management for leading electronic contract manufacturers, and leading a global design team for a division of one of the top three companies in Korea.

Leo Provencher - Vice President Strategic Accounts

Mr. Provencher, who is based in Asia and head's up OIA's strategic supply chain intiatives, has a long and varied business career, concentrating on supply chain management. Prior to joining OIA Global Logistics, he led the Asian supply chain logistics for Paccess. Previous to that position, he spent 13 years at Nike, where his positions included Production Manager in Korea, Pricing Manager in Thailand, Distribution Center Operations Manager in Wilsonville, Quality Assurance Manager for Footwear, and Demand Planning & Purchasing for Nike Footwear, Equipment and Golf. Provencher, an engineering graduate of Mississippi State University, also spent 12 years in the U.S. Marine Engineering field.

Anthony Tam - Vice President East Region

Mr. Tam has extensive bilateral China/ U.S. trade and logistics experience. While living in Hong Kong, he served as a sales executive for Pan American Airways and W.T. Air cargo Ltd. In 1987 he founded his own logistics company and later relocated to New York to manage and grow the U.S. side of the operations. In 2001, Mr. Tam joined OIA and is currently the Vice President for the East Region.

Peter Wong - Managing Director Asia Pacific

Peter Wong has 23 years experience in the logistics industry and is a specialist in emerging markets in Southeast Asia. He was the president of a Singapore-based logistics company for ten years before joining OIA in 2001. Mr. Wong is currently the Managing Director Asia Pacific for OIA.

Francis Lui- Managing Director Hong Kong / China

Francis Lui brings over 30 years of freight forwarding, international trade, transportation, and operations experience to OIA. He has extensive knowledge of China and Hong Kong gateways. He established his own company in 1985 and successfully grew the business before joining OIA in 2001. Mr. Lui is Managing Director Hong Kong/ China.

Steven Van Baest - Director Global Services

Steven Van Baest has 18 years of supply chain experience. Mr. Van Baest joined OIA Global Logistics in March 2002 as Director of Global Services. Before coming to OIA, he spent 17 years with Nike where he was involved in retail demand planning, production scheduling, purchasing, and ERP implementation and management. Mr. Van Baest graduated from Portland State University with a BA in Economics.

Bill Brady - Director of Operations, East Coast Region

Bill Brady has 18 years of experience in freight forwarding. As the corporate Customs license holder, Mr. Brady implemented and developed OIA Global Logistics Customs Brokerage services. He provided the requisite background to qualify OIA as an Ocean Transportation Intermediary (OTI). He is instrumental in guiding the company and our customers through regulatory changes in all facets of transportation, particularly in the post 9/11 environment. Mr. Brady has a BA degree in International Studies from the Univ. of Oregon. Before coming to OIA, he worked at Kintetsu World Express for over 5 years.

Daniel McMorris - VP Global Business Development

Mr. McMorris comes to OIA from Johnson & Johnson's McNeil Consumer and Specialty Pharmaceuticals where he was on the brand management teams for Tylenol® products and St. Joseph® aspirin. He has a MBA from the University of Notre Dame's Mendoza School of Business and a BS in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire.

Paul Wogan - Chief Information Officer

Paul Wogan has 21 years of freight forwarding and supply chain experience. After attending the Erasmus University in Rotterdam pursuing a degree in Economics. Paul's career started at an ocean liner as an assistant controller, completed his formal IT education and worked through various development and analyst roles, developing logistics and international freight forwarding applications in the Netherlands. In 1990, Paul developed an international freight forwarding application and launched his own company in Canada serving IT needs for freight forwarders in Europe, Canada and the United States. Paul's in depth knowledge of the freight industry, software development and business best practices opened opportunities in senior consulting, advisory and IT management roles from mid-sized freight forwarding companies to a senior IT management position at Con-way, before joining OIA in 2006.
