OIA Global Logistics Credentials


OIA Global Logistics continues to gain recognition as a leader within the logistics industry.  Aside from holding many certifications and licenses necessary to operate as a credible logistics partner, OIA has recently been recognized nationally for its profitable growth and progressive distribution solutions.

OIA Certifications:
ISO 9001:2000 Certified
In 2000, OIA was granted the ISO 9001:2000 certification by the International Organization for Standardization for processes geared to enhance Quality Management.  This certification means that OIA is recognized for its processes 1) to fulfill the customer’s quality requirements, 2) to meet applicable regulatory requirements, 3) to achieve customer satisfaction, and 4) for continual process improvements.

C-TPAT Certified
To meet international safety concerns, OIA earned C-TPAT certification in 2003, well ahead of U.S. Customs & Border Protection timing guidelines.

IATA Certified
OIA is a member of the International Air Transport Association, the trade association that governs the fast-changing airline industry.  This means that OIA has direct access to the most recent information and regulations concerning the movement of cargo throughout the world.

FMC License/NVOCC Licensed
In 1994, OIA was officially licensed as a Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier (NVOCC) by the Federal Maritime Commission (FMC).

Licensed Customs House Broker (CHB)
In 1993, OIA was granted license to operate as a Customs House Broker by U.S. Customs & Border Protection.

IMDG/CFR 49 Hazardous Materials Certification
OIA is fully trained to be compliant with all U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) and International Air Transport Association (IATA) regulations concerning new security rules for the movement and handling of hazardous material shipments.

Certified MBE
In 2003, after 16 years of operating as an international logistics company, OIA was officially certified as a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) by the Northwest Minority Business Council (NMBC), an affiliate of the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC).

Certified Corporate Plus MBE
OIA Global Logistics, part of the Yoshida Group, was awarded the National Corporate PlusŪ designation for a minority business enterprise (MBE) by the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC). Corporate Plus® is a membership program for the best MBEs that have the proven capacity to handle national contracts for major corporations.

SBA HoF
In 2003, OIA’s parent company, the Yoshida Group, was recognized for its profitable growth and was the only privately-held, minority-owned business inducted into the U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA) 50th Anniversary Hall of Fame.

Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year - Distribution
In 2004, Junki Yoshida, owner of the Yoshida Group and OIA Global Logistics, was names Ernst & Young’s Pacific Northwest Entrepreneur of the Year for his companies’ work in distribution.
